How to Prevent Divorce - Here Are Ways to Help Save Your Marriage!

By Juliette Christian

It can be tough to deduce how to prevent divorce. I have experienced all stages of this fully - so you can believe me when I say "I know this." It's easy to get lost on desperation and confusion. However, just like me, you are trying to find ways on the Internet. I congratulate you. While it's true that there is a lot of conflicting (and sometimes outright wrong) advice on the Internet, ultimately it took the credit for saving my marriage. I am still with my husband now, and we are better than ever. Here are your main options:

1. Marriage counseling: Surely this is one of the best ways to prevent divorce. The right marriage counselor, with all his or her experience, can make an immediate impact on your marriage. The obvious two downsides are that it usually costs a lot of money - and that it needs both of you. By that I mean you and your spouse - if your spouse is already done with the marriage and wants out, counseling is not the way to prevent divorce since it requires both of you to participate willingly.

2. Marriage help forums: These are forums on the Internet in which people share their own experiences and problems. They can be beneficial due to the fact that these are real people out there with real problems. Combining all of their experiences, you can infer what to do on how to prevent divorce in your marriage. Surely you can't try to follow every advice that's being thrown out there by someone, but you can read people's stories and what they did themselves - what helped and what didn't. If you are unsure of what to do or are in a huge financial strain, marriage help forums can help greatly on figuring out which way to go.

3. Marriage self help books: Marriage self-help books are usually written by professional marriage counselors with years of experience. You can think of them as "marriage counseling for people wanting to save their marriages alone." The better ones usually comprise of several different books or volumes - and one is dedicated for Question & Answers sections, which contains some previous problems - questions from past couples who the marriage counselor helped himself or herself. The best of those books usually cost around $50 - considering they help you to prevent divorce, of course they are much more than worth it.

All in all, which way to go depends on the situation. If your spouse is willing to work with you to prevent a divorce, then the marriage counselor route is definitely the best way provided you can afford it. Otherwise, I highly recommend getting a marriage self help book - they can be incredibly to the point and spot-on.

Even if both spouses love each other sincerely, at times they might find themselves getting more and more distant from each other and getting close to a divorce. But like me, you too can take some steps into saving your marriage and turning it into a satisfying relationship.

Your marriage is not doomed to a divorce. I know that it might feel like there is no way to save your marriage now, but there is. With the use of specific techniques, you can repair your relationship and build something that will last for life. Click here to visit a very helpful site in that respect
