"The secret of the kingdom of God has been given to you.

But to those on the outside everything is said in parables."

Mark 4:11

Father Matta El-Meskeen (Matthew the Poor)

CHRIST IS SPEAKING TO HIS OWN, and in truth those on the outside,

no matter who they are, are not called to the Kingdom.

The Secret of the Kingdom of God

Truly the one and only secret of the Kingdom of God is Jesus Christ himself.

So everyone who believes in Christ is called to enter the Kingdom of Heaven,

and the one who does not believe in Christ does not have God nor the Kingdom

of God. Therefore, instruction, interpretation and preaching about Christ is all

one great call to enter the Kingdom of God.

The Kingdom of God

Its name clarifies that it is God’s Kingdom or the reign of God, and even more

so the House of God. Those called to the Kingdom are those called to life in

God’s house. They are the righteous saints whom God has called, and it is the

greatest calling, to be family in his house, friends of God and God their friend.

So they are counted as the chosen ones, set apart from before time and their

names written on the palm of God’s hand.

The calling to faith in Jesus Christ is the short path that leads to the Kingdom

of God and Christ. Faith in Christ is to receive him as Lord, the Christ crucified

as a redemptive sacrifice, raised from the dead, victorious over the world and

reigning over the world.

Know that without Christ it is impossible for any human or any created being

to enter the Kingdom of Heaven, because apart from Christ Satan would rule the

entire world and over all of creation. He is the initiator of evil, father of lies, the

only blasphemer of God, and there is no escape from his control and cruel and

evil authority, from which there is never any mercy. Who then, being under the

authority of this cruel and evil one, can escape his iron grip?

Listen to me my dear reader, and I will reveal to you the secret of all of life

and death. Either believe in Christ or fall powerlessly defeated under the

authority of Satan, the authority which was officially given him over all the

world.1

Faith in Christ is not an option or a compromise on your part; it is the only

escape from falling into Satan’s trap and his cruel authority. It is not only a

distinction between Christ, glory to his name, and Satan, God’s curse upon him.

After the distinction and the unavoidable choice between Christ, glory to his

name, and the lurking enemy, the terrifying result truly appears, for it is either

the Kingdom of God or the dwelling of Satan, hell, with its fire that never

extinguishes.

After this, is it possible to ponder between choosing Christ, glory to his name,

and hell with its patron? It is a choice of terror, death and destruction. So if we

are calling now for faith in Christ it is because he is the true salvation, and the

invitation to the Kingdom of God is open and available. The Kingdom of God is

itself eternal life in intimacy with God and Christ and all the saints.

Look now and understand that the invitation to faith in Christ is your only

hope and the only guarantee to victory over the world!

Do you know now the secret of Christ? and the secret of the Kingdom of

God?
